Icon Sushi is one of the many "new" type of application that are available on the Windows store. It is also commonly known as the Windows Space Invader. This program comes as freeware, and can be downloaded directly from the Windows store. Unfortunately, this software can't be used to play DVDs or CD's, or anything else which requires the use of a media player. There really isn't any need to use this application if you don't plan on downloading other programs.
Ionic Samurai is another example of a "new" type of application that can be downloaded to your computer. It allows you to create icons in the shape of famous Japanese animation characters like "The Little Bo Peep" that you can place on your desktop, and then save and restore as many times as you'd like. The only really different feature this application has is that it comes as a freeware, which doesn't allow you to use it on a computer that is built using Windows XP service pack 1. The one good thing about this application is that you can use the shape of your favorite Japanese cartoon characters with any size font. It comes in a "creature" size and is therefore perfect for those who like anime.
All of these three examples of free sushi maker applications are perfect for someone who is new to creating icons, but wants to learn quickly how to make some sushi themed icons on their PC. They are very simple tools to get you started creating sushi themed icons on your desktop or in a quick batch of images for email, such as an email with a picture of sushi. I personally prefer making my own images rather than the pre-made ones offered on most of the websites. Most of the icons are quite nice, and it really feels like you have your own piece of sushi right at your fingertips. The one downside to these free downloads though, is that none of them are designed for use on the Windows XP operating system.
